Sources close to the program informed us just hours ago that recruits Derrick Henry and Jalen Reeves-Maybin have silently committed to the Tennessee coaching staff.
The source felt strongest about Henry, stating that we were his firm leader after the Orange and White game, and that he committed to Dooley and company after having a final talk with Tiny Richardson and Darrington Sentimore. "100% Vol" was the last text received just a few minutes ago. This is coming from the same person who brought us the Stokes commitment a week prior to it becoming public. A lot of the credit needs to go to Jay Graham, as Henry loved his pitch of "being the next Lattimore."
As for Maybin, our source claims Maybin was a strong Tennessee lean less than a week ago, and "if anything it has become more of a lock in the last 4-5 days." He believes his recruitment is over and that he will announce his intentions to play football in Knoxville on August 10th.
We were going to save this news for this weeks "The Hill," but figured this would be a nice way to start your week.
Check back for updates as we receive them.
